Job Description A Front of House (FOH) Restaurant Manager oversees all customer-facing aspects of a restaurant, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. They manage staff, handle reservations and seating, address guest concerns, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. The FOH manager is also responsible for training staff, implementing operational procedures, and collaborating with the back-of-house team to ensure efficient service. Key Responsibilities: * Guest Experience: Welcoming guests, managing reservations, handling inquiries, and addressing complaints to ensure a positive dining experience. * Operational Efficiency: Coordinating seating, managing waitlists, ensuring smooth service flow, and addressing any issues that arise during service. * Staff Training and Development: Hiring, training, and coaching front-of-house staff to provide excellent service and adhere to company policies. * Inventory and Supplies: Ordering and managing inventory for items used in the front of the house, such as linens, glassware, and cleaning supplies. * Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating clear communication between the front and back-of-house teams to ensure efficient service and address any issues that arise. * Financial Management: Managing daily cash flow, balancing cash drawers, and tracking front-of-house related expenses. * Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. * Customer Satisfaction: Monitoring customer feedback, addressing complaints, and taking steps to improve the dining experience. * Restaurant Ambiance: Maintaining a clean, inviting, and well-maintained dining area. * Teamwork and Leadership: Leading and motivating the front-of-house team to achieve high standards of service and customer satisfaction. * Supervising and Managing Staff: The FOH manager oversees hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, and other front-of-house staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and provide excellent service.
