School Year: 2026-2027 Job Summary: The Middle School Electives Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Study Hall Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging STEM-based elective courses and facilitating structured Study Hall periods for middle school students. This position promotes hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The teacher will integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all instruction and interactions, providing professional, Christ-centered guidance to students. In addition to delivering high-quality instruction, the teacher will cultivate student growth, contribute to a positive school culture, and collaborate with staff, parents, and administrators to support student success both academically and spiritually. Essential Functions: Instructional Responsibilities • Plan, develop, and deliver engaging STEM elective courses aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations., • Provide instruction in areas such as coding, robotics, engineering design, technology applications, project-based learning, and other STEM-related subjects., • Facilitate structured and purposeful Study Hall periods that promote organization, accountability, academic support, and effective study skills., • Use a variety of instructional strategies and hands-on learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of students., • Encourage active student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking., • Assess student performance using formal and informal assessments (projects, presentations, demonstrations, quizzes, and participation)., • Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior, creating a respectful, safe, and positive learning environment., • Implement effective classroom management strategies that support productivity and engagement., • Supervise and monitor students during Study Hall to ensure a focused academic atmosphere., • Collaborate with colleagues in subject-specific teams, interdisciplinary groups, and school-wide committees to ensure a consistent and integrated learning experience., • Work with core subject teachers to support student academic success during Study Hall periods., • Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education into STEM instruction and classroom interactions., • Develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations., • Design project-based learning opportunities that encourage innovation, creativity, and real-world application., • Stay current with developments in STEM education, educational research, and best practices in middle school instruction., • Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, and in-service training., • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments., • Prepare and submit progress reports and required documentation in a timely manner as directed by the Middle School Principal., • Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular activities as needed., • Follow all school policies and procedures, including those related to safety and discipline.Requirements:, • Have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with the school’s mission to honor Christ., • Agree with and support the school’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, and Philosophy of Education., • Cooperate and comply with school administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing school operations., • Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM education, education, computer science, engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred., • Required: New Mexico state teaching credential, ACSI certification, or ACTS certification acceptable at a minimum for two (2) years., • Experience teaching middle school students preferred., • Experience working with children in an educational setting., • Strong understanding of coding software, robotics, STEM applications, Google applications, and creative design tools., • Knowledge and experience with differentiated instruction, classroom technology, and educational software., • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills., • 95% paid medical premiums, 100% paid dental, vision premiums for full-time employees., • Medical cost-savings: Health Reimbursement Arrangement, • 100% Employer paid Basic Life, • 403(b) Employer match dollar-for-dollar up to 4% income, 800+ investment options, • Life Insurance and AD&D
