About the Opportunity The Field Operations Support Lead is a traveling, cross-divisional role responsible for providing flexible, on-the-ground support to the Field Operations Support team. Based in Houston, this role deploys on a recurring monthly basis to either of our operating divisions to lead and support new hire onboarding, training logistics, and high-volume coverage periods. The position serves as a key liaison between the two divisions and the Director, Field Operations Support, helping ensure consistency of process, quality of onboarding, and continuity of service across geographies. This role is additive to the existing team and is specifically designed to close structural gaps created by geographic separation, growing onboarding complexity, and increased corporate demands on Director-level bandwidth. Essential Functions • Serve as a floating field operations support lead, deploying to either division as needed to provide hands-on support, coverage, and continuity during peak workload periods, new hire classes, and absences., • Lead end-to-end coordination of new hire onboarding across divisions, including travel coordination, scheduling, safety training setup, account creation, badge and QR code access, apartment and lodging logistics, and in-person orientation., • Partner closely with the Training department and Field Operations Support Coordinators to plan and execute new hire classes, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for incoming employees regardless of location., • Act as a primary liaison between the two field service divisions and the Director, Field Operations Support, surfacing operational issues, sharing best practices, and driving alignment on process and policy., • Provide cross-divisional coverage for the existing Field Operations Coordinators during high-volume periods, planned absences, and travel-intensive initiatives, without degrading either division’s home-base operations., • Support the launch and ramp-up of new field operations sites and projects, by establishing onboarding workflows, vendor relationships, and administrative routines on the ground., • Implement and reinforce corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with the Director and Field Operations Support team., • Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to field service staff; train and instruct employees on administrative duties, systems, and company expectations., • Prepare and distribute work schedules and coordinate lodging needs for field service staff as directed by Supervisors and the Director., • Participate in the recruitment, interview, and hiring process for field service support roles as needed., • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, including maintaining spreadsheets, dashboards, and data entry tasks that track onboarding, asset, and workforce metrics., • Manage vendor accounts, including user setup and maintenance, and support accounts payable tasks related to invoice processing and general ledger coding., • Coordinate meetings and events related to field operations, training classes, and cross-divisional initiatives., • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational support systems to make field service workflows more efficient and scalable., • Handle sensitive employee, vendor, and operational information in a confidential manner. Experience/Education • 3+ years of progressive experience in field operations, field service support, workforce coordination, or a comparable operations role, ideally in oilfield services, logistics, or another field-based industry., • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating new hire onboarding, training logistics, and multi-location workforce support., • Excellent communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority across multiple teams and locations., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including while traveling, and to manage competing priorities across two or more divisions., • 5+ years’ working knowledge of PC applications., • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with pivot tables, look-up formulas, and mathematical formulas., • Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) the Houston, TX area and willing to travel on a recurring monthly basis depending on operational need., • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company travel and background requirements.
