Job Description Cogent Technology Resource – Tucker / Metro Atlanta, GA Full-Time | W-2 | Reports to VP of Sales Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 per year, plus vehicle allowance or company vehicle depending on assigned account coverage This is not a traditional sales role. We’re looking for someone who has worked in the field and is ready to step into a client-facing position. Cogent Technology Resource is hiring an Associate Technical Account Manager to support our existing healthcare customers throughout Metro Atlanta. This is a growth role for someone with hands-on experience in healthcare technology, medical equipment, AV, low-voltage, installation, construction coordination, facilities, field service, or technical project support who wants to move into account management. Cogent works with hospitals and healthcare systems on technology solutions that support clinical spaces, staff workflows, and patient engagement. Our work includes patient-facing technology, workstations, displays, mounting solutions, carts, technology infrastructure, and related solutions used in active hospital environments. We are not simply selling products. We help healthcare customers plan, coordinate, and implement practical technology solutions in real hospital settings. Our Account Managers build trust, understand customer needs, guide expectations, coordinate solutions, and help make sure projects are handled professionally from first request through installation and follow-up. What You’ll Do As an Associate Technical Account Manager, you will support existing Cogent customers while learning how to manage healthcare accounts, prepare quotes, participate in walkthroughs, and coordinate customer needs with internal teams. Responsibilities include: • Support and grow relationships with existing healthcare customers, • Visit hospitals, customer offices, job sites, construction sites, and vendor partners, • Meet with local Metro Atlanta customers approximately 2–3 days per week, • Support occasional regional travel within roughly a five-hour drive when needed, • Participate in site walks and customer meetings to understand project needs, • Help identify technical requirements, field conditions, access concerns, installation needs, and possible obstacles, • Assist with quotes, proposals, and project documentation, • Learn Cogent’s products, services, installation process, and customer workflow, • Work in Simpro to maintain customer notes, quotes, follow-up tasks, and project activity, • Coordinate with Account Coordinators on installations, service requests, product demos, site walks, and follow-up, • Work with installation supervisors, warehouse staff, vendors, project managers, and service technicians, • Help translate customer needs into clear internal direction for the Cogent team, • Help guide customer expectations before, during, and after projects, • Follow up with customers to provide confidence and continuity, • Support smaller customer requests and simpler account activity as you grow into the role, • Represent Cogent professionally in active healthcare environments What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who understands field work, technical environments, or project coordination and wants to move into a more customer-facing role. This could be a strong fit for someone coming from: • Healthcare technology installation, • Medical equipment support, • AV or low-voltage work, • Field service, • Installation coordination, • Hospital facilities support, • Construction coordination, • Technical project support, • Healthcare furniture, carts, mounts, displays, or workstation solutions, • Customer service in a technical environment Ideal qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in a technical, field service, installation, project coordination, customer-facing, or account support role, • Experience with healthcare, hospitals, medical equipment, AV, low-voltage, construction, facilities, furniture, displays, mounts, workstations, or technology solutions is strongly preferred, • Comfortable walking a customer space and noticing technical details, • Strong communication skills — this is the most important requirement, • Strong customer service instincts, • Good follow-up and organization, • Ability to manage multiple requests and details at once, • Comfortable visiting hospitals, construction environments, customer offices, and vendor locations, • Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure, • Practical problem-solving ability, • Willingness to learn quoting, CRM documentation, customer follow-up, and account management, • Comfortable using CRM or project management software; Simpro experience is a plus, • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record This is a growth role. You do not need to already be a senior account manager. We are looking for someone with the right technical background, communication skills, work ethic, and desire to learn.
