Physical Therapy Assistant Our client is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a supportive outpatient team dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working alongside multidisciplinary providers, and is motivated to grow their clinical skills while contributing to a positive clinic culture. This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon with occasional travel between client locations. Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist., • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and use of appropriate modalities., • Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising PT., • Deliver clear instructions and education to patients regarding proper exercise technique, safety, and progression., • Assist in developing and demonstrating individualized home exercise programs., • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record system., • Coordinate with therapists, aides, and administrative staff to support seamless clinic operations., • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment in accordance with clinic standards., • Participate in team communication by providing updates on patient progress. Physical Therapy Assistant Qualifications • Current Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant license., • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or the ability to obtain by start date., • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse patient populations and healthcare professionals., • Clear written and verbal communication abilities., • Confidence in providing detailed clinical observations to the supervising therapist., • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision., • Effective time-management, organization, and problem-solving skills., • Comfort working in a dynamic outpatient setting., • A high level of professionalism, reliability, and adherence to HIPAA standards., • Proficiency with basic computer software and EMR documentation., • A collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for learning and professional development., • Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care. Preferred: • At least one year of outpatient orthopedic or athletic training experience, and prior exposure to EMR systems or insurance documentation processes. Salary: 65K-80K/year.
