Job Description Job Duties: • Patrol assigned area., • Stop cars for violations, • Investigate loitering., • Make arrests and issue citations., • Respond to accidents, providing first aid and emergency services until paramedics arrive., • Respond to dispatched calls., • Conduct traffic, criminal and other investigations., • Prepare detailed and well written reports. Qualifications: • At least 21 years old, • Citizen of the United States or a permanent resident, • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency recognized by the State of Louisiana, • Must have one of the following, • at least one year of experience as a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified law enforcement officer in a full-time position, whose job duties included armed duty with the power of arrest; or, • Louisiana Law Enforcement POST Certification; or, • 1 year of continuous active duty in the military; or, • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or, • $46,755 starting annual salary, • 100% employer paid health, vision and life insurance for our employees.
