Job Description Marketing & Social Media Coordinator Part-Time | Fort Worth, TX | Opportunity to Grow into Full-Time Are you a creative college student or early-career marketer who loves social media and wants real-world marketing experience beyond a typical internship? Our State Farm agency is looking for a part-time Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to help grow our digital presence, local brand, and connection with the Fort Worth community. This is an opportunity to create content, build a professional portfolio, learn digital marketing, and see measurable results from your work. For the right person, the position has the potential to grow into a full-time Marketing & Social Media Director role. Compensation & Schedule • Compensation: $15-20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, • Schedule: 15–20 hours per week, • Part-time position with flexibility to accommodate a college class schedule or school pick up, etc., • Work will primarily take place during regular weekday business hours, with the specific schedule established based on agency needs and the candidate's availability., • Some flexibility may be available for content planning and other marketing work that can be completed remotely., • Occasional participation in community events, agency activities, or content opportunities outside normal business hours may be requested with advance notice., • Opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance, demonstrated results, agency growth, and mutual fit. What You'll Do • Create engaging content for Facebook and Instagram, including posts, Reels, photos, videos, and stories., • Grow our social-media audience, reach, and engagement., • Maintain and strengthen our Google Business Profile, including posts, photos, information, and online presence., • Help coordinate and monitor Google Ads and other digital marketing campaigns., • Assist with customer review and online reputation initiatives., • Create and maintain a monthly social-media and marketing calendar., • Develop content around our team, insurance education, seasonal topics, community involvement, sponsorships, and local Fort Worth events., • Track marketing results and identify what's working., • Help turn digital engagement into inquiries and potential customer opportunities., • Bring new ideas and current social-media trends to our marketing strategy. What We're Looking For This position may be a great fit for a student studying Marketing, Advertising, Communications, PR, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field. We're looking for someone who is: • Creative and comfortable with social media, • A strong writer and communicator, • Comfortable creating photos and short-form video, • Organized and dependable, • Able to work independently, • Willing to bring ideas instead of waiting for every assignment, • Interested in Google, social media, digital advertising, and local marketing, • Comfortable learning from performance data and adjusting strategy, • Interested in building professional marketing experience Previous insurance experience is not required. We will teach you about our business. How We'll Measure Success Marketing performance will be measured by consistent audience growth, engagement, digital visibility, and the ability to turn marketing activity into business opportunities. Social Media Growth KPI Our goal is to add a minimum of 100 net new followers annually across Facebook and Instagram combined. To keep us on pace, we'll use the following benchmarks: • Monthly Pace: Approximately 8–10 net new followers, • Quarterly Target: Minimum 25 net new followers, • Annual Target: Minimum 100 net new followers As our audience grows and we establish stronger performance benchmarks, these goals may increase. Success will also include: • Increasing meaningful social-media engagement, • Strengthening our Google presence and local visibility, • Maintaining consistent, high-quality content, • Growing customer reviews and online reputation, • Monitoring Google Ads and digital campaign performance, • Tracking inquiries and quote opportunities generated through marketing * Our goal isn't simply to collect followers. We want to build an audience that knows our agency, engages with our content, and thinks of us when an insurance need arises. Growth Opportunity This position will begin part-time at 15–20 hours per week, but we're looking for someone who has the potential to grow with our agency. As the position develops into a full-time role, the employee will be expected to work toward obtaining a Property & Casualty Insurance license so they can better understand the products, customers, and business they are marketing.
