Job Description JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for developing best-in-class measurement methods to determine product compliance with established quality standards and technical/regulatory requirements. This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CMM programming, GD&T, and advanced measurement technologies, while mentoring peers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position is onsite in Indianapolis, IN. Key Responsibilities • Create measurement equipment programs to ensure compliance with requirements., • Record and analyze measurement data; maintain inspection reports., • Communicate with Machining and Production teams to resolve issues., • Ensure all products adhere to company, customer, and industry quality standards., • Report product defects and system non-conformances., • Verify procedures meet compliance requirements., • Recommend and initiate process improvement projects., • Train and mentor Quality Inspectors and Engineers on measurement techniques., • Serve as SME for measurement interpretation and analysis methodologies., • Manage calibration and validation of measurement equipment., • Organize, store, and maintain measurement equipment and electronic data., • Provide measurement information to Material Review Boards for data-driven decisions., • Conduct Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies., • Support corrective actions and perform root cause analysis (RCA)., • Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures; maintain a clean work area.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills, • Strong CMM programming expertise; SME for CMM programming., • Experience with Zeiss CMM equipment., • Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5., • Knowledge of CNC machining concepts., • Experience with advanced measurement scanners (e.g., MetraScan 3D)., • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints., • Advanced aerospace job shop mathematical calculations and measurement tools., • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD security clearance., • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)., • Strong mechanical aptitude.Soft Skills, • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills., • Effective time management and organizational skills., • Ability to mentor and coach peers., • Self-driven and responsible with a focus on team objectives.Education & Experience, • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related STEM field with 5+ years programming advanced measurement devices (CMM)., • Associate’s Degree in STEM field with 10+ years programming advanced measurement devices (CMM).
