Job Overview: Volatus Drones is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support the growth of our U.S. operations. This full-time, on-site role involves identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and contributing to the expansion of our drone equipment and service offerings across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and interested in working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving tech sector. Youll collaborate closely with the Volatus Drones team and the broader Volatus Aerospace sales network to support outreach efforts, educate potential customers, and drive early-stage sales engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced UAS (Uncrewed Aerial Systems) technologies and develop a career in the drone and aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities: • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, networking, and relationship-building efforts., • Create and execute data-informed sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and long-term revenue goals., • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, closing, and contract management., • Maintain accurate CRM records (Zoho) of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions; provide timely sales reports and forecasts to management., • Stay informed on emerging drone technologies, competitor activities, and market developments to refine sales strategies., • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, potential customers, and new opportunities for business growth, • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow drone equipment and solutions sales within the US market., • Build and maintain strong client relationships with new and existing clients across diverse sectors, including energy, public safety, defense, infrastructure, and other emerging markets., • Identify and manage public and private tender opportunities relevant to the region or sector; collaborate with the business development team to align on submissions., • Conduct in-depth clients need assessments to recommend tailored drone solutions, while identifying broader opportunities for product innovation or strategic partnerships that support company growth and market positioning., • Provide professional after-sales support through proactive client follow-ups, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management to ensure satisfaction, encourage retention, and uphold the companys reputation., • Collaborate with the marketing team to support lead generation efforts and contribute to brand visibility in the US market., • Provide customer feedback to our product and engineering teams, helping shape the development of new offerings. Key Skills: • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities through creative thinking, strategic outreach, and building collaborative relationships from the ground up., • Proven track record of closing deals, managing complex sales cycles, and negotiating favorable contract terms., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations, foster internal collaboration, and build trust with clients., • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data to develop effective go-to-market strategies and overcome challenges., • Ability to build rapport quickly, establish credibility, and maintain long-term relationships that drive customer retention and business growth., • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho to manage pipelines, track activities, and forecast sales., • Results-driven mindset with a commitment to exceeding sales targets and delivering measurable outcomes., • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience is essential, preferably in technology-driven industries such as drone or aerospace., • Relevant certifications, licenses, or a Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Aviation, or a related field are considered valuable assets, but not required., • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, demonstrating proactive and self-motivated sales management., • Strong understanding of drone technology and its commercial applications across various sectors is considered an asset., • Willingness to travel across the US (travel to clients, trade shows and events, and Syracuse, NY HQ) Why Join Us: At Volatus Drones, a Volatus Aerospace company, youll be joining an innovative, fast-paced company with a strong commitment to customer success and industry advancement.
