Job Description Location: Bellevue, Reports to: EVP/CFOO Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 About the Club For nearly 70 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has provided safe, supportive spaces for youth outside of school hours. Position Overview The Vice President of Traditional Clubs & Athletics serves as a key executive leader responsible for the vision, strategy, and operational excellence of all non-licensed Club programs serving youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role oversees multiple traditional Club sites, the full athletics portfolio (including expansion sports), and all programming delivered through the Hidden Valley Sports Complex, under the Athletic Director and team. This leader strengthens program quality, drives measurable outcomes, ensures safe and inclusive environments, and guarantees that every Club and athletic program delivers an exceptional experience aligned with the mission and values of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for Traditional Clubs and Athletics that elevates program quality, participation, and impact., • Lead a large, diverse team of Club directors, program managers, and athletic staff with a focus on coaching, accountability, and professional growth., • Partner with the COO and executive team to align programs with organizational goals, community needs, and funding priorities., • Build a strong organizational culture rooted in safety, equity, and best practices in youth development., • Oversee daily operations of all traditional Club sites, ensuring safe, inclusive, mission-aligned environments for youth., • Ensure consistent program delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with performance metrics across all locations., • Strengthen systems for staff training, youth engagement, program evaluation, and continuous improvement., • Collaborate with licensed program leadership to ensure alignment and shared operational standards., • Provide executive leadership for all athletic programs, including expansion of sports, leagues, camps, and tournaments., • Supervise the Athletic Director and the Hidden Valley Sports Complex team to ensure high-quality sports experiences and operational efficiency., • Expand athletic offerings based on community demand, equity goals, and organizational capacity., • Implement data-driven approaches to evaluate program outcomes, youth satisfaction, and operational performance., • Lead quality improvement initiatives across Clubs and athletics to ensure consistent excellence., • Utilize BGCA tools, NYOI data, and continuous quality improvement frameworks to strengthen impact., • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organizations, sports leagues, and local government., • Oversee budgets for Traditional Clubs and Athletics, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources., • Support fundraising efforts by providing program insights, participating in donor engagement, and identifying opportunities for grants or sponsorships. Qualifications • 7–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in youth development, education, recreation, athletics administration, or nonprofit operations., • Demonstrated success overseeing multi‑site operations and leading large, diverse teams that include directors, managers, and frontline program staff., • Strong background in program quality improvement, data‑driven decision making, and implementing systems that elevate consistency, safety, and impact., • Experience overseeing athletic programs, sports leagues, or recreation facilities preferred; familiarity with youth sports safety standards is a plus., • Proven ability to manage complex operational budgets, align resources with program priorities, and steward organizational assets responsibly., • Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners., • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive youth development, with experience serving diverse communities., • Knowledge of youth safety practices, risk management, emergency preparedness, or trauma‑informed approaches preferred., • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field (education, public administration, nonprofit management, recreation, etc.) preferred., • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between Club sites, athletic facilities, and community locations. The position involves frequent interaction with staff, youth, families, and external stakeholders in dynamic, youth‑centered environments.
