Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Quality Control Specialist II at our Plano, TX location. The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $52,000 depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location. Description: The QC Specialist II protects SBNA assets by ensuring servicing functions are being performed correctly (consistent with policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and other standards). By performing audits, the Analyst improves SBNA business practices by identifying weaknesses and deficiencies and reporting them to company managers and executives. Responsibilities: • Auditing – Plan and execute quarterly and monthly audits (loan servicing, escrow analysis, payment processing, etc.) consistent with internal and external standards., • Compliance – Safeguard company assets by ensuring compliance with company policy/procedures, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs and state and federal law regulation., • Document (Review and Verification) – Review files to verify documents, processes and procedures are present, accurate, accurately calculated, compliant and sufficiently complete., • Judgment – Display independent ability to analyze information, make timely decisions, and exercise sound judgement., • Communications (Internal) – Report audit results and make recommendations to mid-to-senior company management. Practice, support, and promote a culture consistent with compliance standards., • Deadlines – Consistently hit ongoing deadlines regarding servicing, auditing, etc., • Compliance – Meet rules, obligations, timeliness, and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal law and regulation. Education / Experience Preferred: • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position preferred but not required, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, • Experience with LSAMS is preferred, • A strong general understanding of mortgage banking, with an emphasis on loss mitigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure and loan servicing, • Prefer 2+ years of internal audit, mortgage servicing, or related business experience, • Interpersonal skills, • Multi-tasking skills, • Computer skills, • Math skills, • Auditing skills, • Analytical skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Professional and leadership qualities, • Ability to maintain confidentiality, • Planning and organizing skills Working Conditions The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
