Job DescriptionJob Title: Skilled Labor/ Field Service Technician Location: East Syracuse, NY Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Construction / Field Service Position Summary We are currently seeking a Skilled Laborer / Field Service Technician for a growing construction team in East Syracuse, NY. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general construction who enjoy hands-on work and have a strong mechanical aptitude. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for demolishing, rebuilding, and modifying commercial and residential units according to customer specifications. Candidates should be comfortable working with various hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and performing a wide range of construction-related tasks. Responsibilities • Frame walls and structures using wood studs, • Hang, tape, finish, and repair drywall, • Install trim and perform finish carpentry work, • Wire electrical outlets, switches, and power supplies, • Assist with HVAC installation and service, • Demo existing leased units and rebuild according to customer plans, • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements, • Perform general construction, repair, and remodeling tasks, • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, • Travel to customer locations and job sites as neededQualificationsRequired:, • Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:, • Carpentry, • Construction, • Electrical, • Plumbing, • Concrete, • Handyman Services, • General Labor, • Ability to read tape measures accurately, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, • Experience using hand and power tools, • Strong work ethic and reliabilityPreferred:, • Framing experience, • Finish carpentry and trim experience, • HVAC installation experience, • Knowledge of plumbing systems, • Electrical troubleshooting and installation experience, • Familiarity with OSHA and construction safety standards, • Previous experience as a helper, apprentice, or field technicianWork Environment, • Commercial and residential construction projects, • Indoor and outdoor work environments, • Work performed in yards, covered trailers, and customer sites, • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday, • Regular use of hand and power tools, • Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours per dayPhysical Requirements, • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, • Occasional heavier lifting with assistance, • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed, • Comfortable working in changing weather conditions and construction environments Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
