VOASELA’s holistic and culturally responsive program treats women’s chemical dependency, breaks the cycle of addiction, reunites families, and promotes the birth of healthy, drug-free babies. Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana's Family Focused Recovery is seeking a part-time Child Watch worker for our Residential Center, opening Summer of 2025. Shifts are rotational and may include evenings and weekends. The Child Watch worker, under the direction of the Child & Family Specialist, is responsible for watching the children, ages 12 and under, of mothers residing in the residential center while mothers participate in program activities. This individual plans age-appropriate activities for children that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. This individual ensures all equipment and toys are cleaned, organized and in good working order to ensure safety of children. As the residential center opens, the Child Watch worker must be flexible and support the FFR team in successful launch and scaling of services.
