Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, the Director of ACE Technology & Apprenticeship Programs is responsible for the development, facilitation, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, growth, and management of grant funded and tuition-based technology programs in workforce development, as well as the management and expansion of Registered Apprenticeships. They ensure that the division meets its technology training program performance goals and financial growth targets, oversee administrative services, supervise staff, hire instructors, and evaluate the curriculum of individual programs. Additionally, the Director of ACE Technology & Apprenticeship Programs will drive programmatic improvement of current certificate programs, as well as innovation of new certificate programs using stakeholder feedback from relevant industry partners and job sector recommendations. As the Principal Investigator (PI) of multiple grants, the Director of ACE Technology Programs is responsible for all compliance and accurate reporting to grant stakeholders including the College, CUNY, and Research Foundation of CUNY. Finally, the Director of ACE Technology Programs will lead the department’s Technology Advisory Board and engage industry to form new employer partnerships to advance apprenticeship and internship opportunities for students with a focus on job placement upon completion. This will require a thorough understanding of the Department of Labor, trade associations, and union procedures and protocols. This position is grant-funded and annual appointment is contingent upon continued funding. The Director of ACE Technology & Apprenticeship Programs also performs other related duties as delegated by the AVP. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview information, other key duties include, but will not be limited to the following: • Lead BMCC’s ACE Technology and Apprenticeship department ensuring all courses and programs meet performance milestones and current labor market standards., • Engage with technology business leaders to ensure courses and training programs are aligned with current and future labor market needs including certifications and establish meaningful partnerships that provide ongoing apprenticeships and work experiences for students., • Serve as liaison from BMCC between the Adult Continuing Education (ACE) department, NYS Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, unions, and trade associations regarding apprenticeship matters., • Drive programmatic improvement using employer feedback, student feedback, programmatic learnings, and grow the program team’s industry expertise and content-specific knowledge., • Collaborate with college departments to generate articulation agreements, credit for prior learning, and co-listing courses., • Create new technology training programs that result in industry-recognized credentials., • Proven success in managing and scaling grant-funded workforce development or education programs, including meeting key performance indicators and achieving financial targets., • Knowledge of and direct experience with NYS Registered Apprenticeship programs., • Demonstrated deep knowledge of current technology landscape, including essential certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP, or equivalent high-level technical credentials) and demonstrable proficiency in relevant programming languages and platforms (e.g., Python, Java, cloud environments like Azure/GCP, or modern DevOps toolchains).", • Must have established employer relationships in the tech field in NYC, • Experience with managing budgets and grants., • A bachelor’s degree in a technology related field., • A master’s degree in management or STEM field., • 5 years of direct experience teaching technology or apprenticeship programs., • Proven ability to increase enrollments in tuition-based certificate programs., • Proven ability to receive awarded grants for continuing education or workforce programs., • Provides leadership for the development and implementation of new programs of study and ensures the coordination and implementation of program components., • Plans, markets and implements College programs in Continuing Education, developing overall programs and overseeing development of content, budgets, and marketing strategies., • Develops funding proposals; solicits grant information and provides leadership and guidance in partnering with community and governmental agencies., • Provide fiscal oversight and evaluation; develops strategic and operating plans; reports progress and results to management., • Oversees a comprehensive marketing and public information program., • Manages staff of the Continuing Education office., • Represents Continuing Education within the College community and externally. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve on a team supporting a network of regulated in-home childcare providers serving 500+ children ranging in infancy to 12 years of age., • Assist in the launching of a new NYC DOE contract for the EarlyLearn and 3K Programs., • Provide effective guidance to ensure effective services to QCH's 45+ affiliated family and group family childcare providers., • Collaborate with the QCCN Education Director, Family Support Worker, and Health Monitors to meet the needs of all children and families., • Provide twice monthly strength-based practice-based coaching to up to 17 affiliated providers as they implement a mixed-age curriculum., • Adapt and provide guidance to affiliated providers on the implementation of an evidence-based curriculum for mixed-age group settings that meets the individual needs of all children., • Review and adapt appropriate curriculum with affiliated providers that foster hands-on developmentally appropriate and relationship-based interactions with all children., • Assist affiliated providers gathering observations of children and entering child assessment data in a timely manner and support its use for curriculum and lesson planning., • Document all coaching sessions aligned with the DOE’s Early Childhood Framework for Quality (EFQ)., • Assist in ongoing outreach, enrollment, and all other administrative tasks., • Support QCCN Education Director in coordinating all required professional learning days throughout the year., • Maintain relationships with community partners who provide mental health, special needs, and other support services for all affiliated providers and families., • Participate in weekly Network team meetings and applicable NYC DOE Trainings and Meetings., • Assist in the facilitation of monthly Network Professional Learning/Development sessions., • BA/BS in Early Childhood or Infant/Toddler Studies; Master’s degree preferred; Comparable Social Work, Psychology or Human Service education also accepted;, • Bilingual English/Spanish: verbal, reading & written fluency (preferred);, • Computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, & Teams; and Zoom (required);, • Experience teaching or serving children under age 5 (required);, • As indicated, ability to work effectively from home or another remote location with consistent Wifi, privacy and utilization of agency communication and learning tools (required);, • As indicated, ability to efficiently travel within QCH Network (Queens, NY) catchment area and conduct on site coaching sessions at designated in-home daycares (required);, • Exceptional time management skills; Ability to multitask; Must be a team player (required);, • Cultural sensitivity; Respect for the unique backgrounds of all QCCN providers and families (required);

About the Position The Shed is designed to be a highly adaptable, flexible, and technologically advanced art and performance facility. There are many kinetic elements that provide for a fully deployable building structure and that require specialized maintenance and operational procedures. The Shed seeks a Facilities Supervisor to support these facility operations, including daily maintenance, event operations, and building cleanliness. This position will directly supervise and assist with the repairs, maintenance, and cleaning assignments performed by the Facilities staff as well as vendors and contractors. Reporting to the Associate Director of Facilities, the Facilities Supervisor will assist in coordinating event and programming set-up requirements. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to • Responsible for aligning customer service with The Shed’s mission to create a best-in-class visitor experience that is welcoming to all, • Lead and motivate the full- and part-time Facilities staff including scheduling, performance management, work assignments, and training, • Responsible for supervising and assisting the Facilities staff in roles including custodial/housekeeping, loading dockmaster, handyperson, laborers, etc., • Assist with the storage, inventory, and distribution of house equipment and cleaning machines, • Perform daily shift updates and pre-event briefings to keep the Facilities team engaged and informed of all activations, • Monitor, track, and record performance of all custodial/housekeeping, loading dockmaster, and handyperson staff, • Complete end-of-shift reports and communicate with management for updates on requests, incidents, and work completed by Facilities staff, • Provide training to Facilities staff that includes cleaning techniques and repairs Other duties as assigned • Qualifications and Qualities, • High school diploma or GED equivalent, • Must have a professional demeanor, • Experience supervising a union workforce in facilities/operations, • Experience in mechanical and technical repairs of a commercial building, • Detail-oriented with exemplary verbal and written communication skills, along with proven leadership ability, • Responds well to constructive feedback, • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 75 pounds, • Able to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities in fast-paced and high-demand situations while remaining extremely professional and customer-service oriented, • Able to take initiative and think ”bigger picture”, • Ability to communicate effectively with external departments Work Environment Time will be spent in an office with a quiet to moderate noise level and in our gallery and live performance spaces, with often loud and amplified noises. The office environment requires using a computer, phone, and other routine office equipment. Compensation The salary range for this position is $65,000 – 68,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
