American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Englewood, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in a 20-bed Multi-Trauma Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting, • Primarily cares for highly acute trauma patients, including vented and trached cases, • Typical equipment includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes, • Staffed with 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses with tech support on day and night shifts, • Patient ratio is approximately 1:4, with charge nurse free of patient assignments, • Uses Meditech EMR system, • Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; 13-week contract, • Frequent procedures include chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopies, • Collaborative team environment with supportive charge nurses and strong tech support, • Role involves managing stable vented and trached trauma patients, • Work in a Level 1 trauma center with complex and challenging cases, • Holiday coverage and flexibility may be required, • First-time travelers are welcome, • Professional references required per state-specific guidelines\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CO or compact RN license required, • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Progressive Care/Trauma setting, • Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted), • Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction procedures, • ACLS certification preferred, • NIH Stroke Certification required, • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred, • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months, • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
