Job Description A leader in Supply Chain Management, is seeking to fill a Domestic/International Logistics Coordinator position at its Syracuse, NY. The successful candidate for this role is a self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, and customer focused team player, capable of delivering new and innovative solutions to continuously meet and exceed our customer needs. Essential Responsibilities: As an Operations Coordinator, a successful candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple import customer accounts, ensuring full compliance with US Customs regulatory requirements and Company Policies. Daily, you will be required to submit, process, quote, enter shipments and other aspects in a timely manner for all logistics purposes for our clientele, and successfully resolving customer needs and requirements to be successful while assisting in supply chain management. Daily duties include but are not limited to: · Customer interaction: quoting, setting up domestic and international shipments, answering logistics and customs questions, via both phone and email. · Dispatching and planning our pickup/delivery straight trucks that we have on site. · Preparing documents for customers as needed such as bills of lading, quotes, specialized export documentation, RFQs, etc. · Organizing freight delivery for all goods to assigned locations for on time delivery, (coordinating with trucking companies and updating our customers on delivery status as needed). · Searching for means of cost reduction and profitability during everyday tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and other team members with various assessments, audits, and trainings, as well as providing daily support to the rest of the team. Knowledge & Skills · Strong understanding of customer service, multitasking and efficient work processes. · Solid knowledge of and ability to assess/interpret customer direct needs and requirements to satisfy their needs. · Excellent communication skills (presentation, written and verbal). · Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc., and Citrix Programs. · Adaptable, and continuous learner. · Exceptional problem-solving skills, and creative solutions development and execution. Preferred Qualifications: Experience Associate degree in supply chain or other equivalent. Work Hours: Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm)
