The main functions in this role are creating orders using shipping software and FileMaker, as well as packaging the material to be shipped. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Communicate with other departments regarding orders and procedures., • Manage the shipping “queue” and maintain 24–48-hour turn-around on outgoing orders., • Provide shipping quotes for potential sales., • Provide weekly production metrics to Management., • Participate in meetings pertaining to shipping procedures and process(es). Ability to train new hires in the department., • Work with other departments to maintain the shipping guidelines., • Alert Procurement of any low inventory levels., • High school degree or equivalent., • Preferred 1 year of shipping and receiving experience., • Stand or sit for long periods of time., • Ability to work independently and/or with a team., • Multitask in a fast-paced production environment., • Attention to detail and organization., • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently., • Well-developed interpersonal skills., • Preferred 1-3 years’ experience in Shipping and Receiving., • Basic computer proficiencies in Microsoft Office., • Proficient in use of FileMaker and Receiving Software.
