Job DescriptionSalary: $18-22 / hr DOE Operations Associate (Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management) Pay Range: $18$22 per hour (DOE) Classification: Full-time, non-exempt Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM Location: Tempe - on-site / in-person only Organization Overview Sonoran Prevention Works (SPW) is an Arizona-based nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people impacted by drug use through harm reduction, education, advocacy, and direct community support. We operate a high-volume supply and logistics system to ensure lifesaving overdose prevention materials are distributed across the state. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our inventory management and daily warehouse operations. Position Summary The Operations Associate plays a key role in ensuring SPWs harm-reduction supplies are received, tracked, organized, and distributed accurately and efficiently. This role manages daily inventory activities, supports supply orders, assists with warehouse organization, and ensures compliance with grant-funded procurement and tracking requirements. This is a fully in-person position that requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and comfort working in a warehouse environment during normal business hours. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Warehouse Management • Receive, process, and store incoming shipments of harm-reduction supplies., • Maintain organized inventory areas; restock shelves and rotate stock., • Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies., • Prepare and stage orders for distribution across program teams., • Ensure accurate data entry for inventory software systems (e.g., HandiFox/Airtable)., • Track supply usage to support grant reporting requirements. Operations Support • Assist with procurement activities including vendor communication and packing slips., • Support shipping logistics for statewide supply distribution., • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment., • Assist with basic facilities and equipment needs as they arise., • Coordinate with Program Managers, Operations Manager, and Finance staff to ensure timely order fulfillment. Development Support • Assist with logging individual gifts, as directed Required Qualifications • 1+ year experience in inventory, warehouse operations, supply chain, or related work., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods., • Comfort using inventory software or willingness to learn (Airtable, HandiFox, etc.)., • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) or Microsoft Office., • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in nonprofit, public health, or logistics settings., • Familiarity with harm reduction, public health supplies, or warehouse safety practices., • Experience with procurement or shipping platforms (Ramp, USPS/UPS/FedEx portals)., • Applicants fluent in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply Compensation & Benefits • Hourly Pay: $18$22 per hour, depending on experience., • Eligible for SPWs benefits package, including health insurance, PTO, and paid holidays.
