About ModeSens ModeSens is Your Purchase Assistant: built around purchase intent, giving shoppers one place to save, organize, and track everything they're considering buying across 950+ trusted partner stores, with the intelligence to know when, where, and how to buy with confidence. We're a fast-growing team building something genuinely different in the shopping / fashion tech space, and the way that looks, across every surface, is central to how we do it. Who We Need We're looking for a part-time, Senior Graphic Designer / Design Lead to produce ModeSens' visual assets across social, email, web, banner, and partner/co-branded materials, and make sure they're consistent with each other and our brand image. This is a hands-on production and creative-direction seat. You'll need strong enough design judgment to help decide how ModeSens' brand design system should actually look once applied and translated across channels, and the execution skills to produce those assets. We are currently engaging a design + branding agency who is producing a design system for ModeSens. You’ll work from that system as it lands and apply it consistently across every channel, and use it to raise the bar on what we actually ship across our website/app/extension marketing + brand designs along with all marketing channels (social, email, web, etc.). There may be an opportunity to also take the design system we receive and make it more specific per channel for ModeSens (i.e., specific social brand guidelines). Marketing briefs the work and sets campaign priorities; you produce the assets and make sure every one of them — social, email, web, banner — reads as the same brand. You’ll serve as our main steward of all brand assets and we will look to you for your expert POV on how those are produced whether it’s an AI generated visual tool, done in Canva, Figma or Adobe, or all a combination of several tactics and approaches. Responsibilities Brand System Application • Translate ModeSens' brand design system (color, type, imagery, iconography, motion) into channel-specific guidelines for social, email, web, and banner, building a reference library Marketing and Social can execute against independently, • Define per-channel creative direction across feed, Reels/TikTok, email, and paid, staying inside one cohesive system, • Partner with our agency on the brand design system, flagging gaps and proposing solutions where it doesn't yet cover a channel or use case, • Build a library of reusable Figma-based UI/product components (chips, pricing blocks, insight blocks, cards, alerts, phone frames, etc.) – replacing cropped/chopped product screenshots – then package them into ready-to-use assets for marketing channels. Creative Production & Brand Standards • Serve as design producer on all social, email, and marketing creative before it goes live, giving fast, direct feedback to Marketing, Social, and Partnerships, • Audit creative against guidelines and fix recurring issues (off-palette color, inconsistent type, low-quality cutouts, mismatched tone), • Build and refresh reusable templates (Figma/Canva) for recurring content and internal materials, such as promo emails, Elite storytelling, giveaways, and internal decks all reflect the same visual system Social & Content Design • Personally design and produce platform-native creative for Instagram, Reels, TikTok, email, and other touchpoints — executing at a premium, non-templated bar rather than relying on generic Canva layouts, • Concept and design assets for Elite membership storytelling, promotional campaigns, and partner/co-branded activations, • Ensure product and lifestyle imagery meets brand standards, working resourcefully since we don't shoot or stock inventory in-house Website & Cross-Channel Design • Design banner themes and graphic treatments for web/app (page layout owned by UI/UX), and own marketing assets from Product's work + deliverables (i.e., partner giveaways, giftcard treatments, etc.), • Keep visual language consistent across web, social, and email Measurements of Success • A rise in organic engagement (likes, saves, shares, comments, click-throughs, open-rate, sign-ups, downloads, etc.) across social, email, and banner content — a sign that creative feels native and worth engaging with, not like an ad interrupting the scroll, • Creative holds its own against competitors, original designs and executions, not generic templates or repeats of what others in the space are already doing, • Creative briefs consistently move from brief to on-brand, ready-to-publish assets within agreed turnaround times with reduced revision cycles, • Able to produce a clear, channel-specific marketing brand guideline (building on agency's system), and ensure all design content consistently follows it, visibly reading as one consistent brand., • A measurable drop in recurring off-brand issues (off-palette color, inconsistent type, low-quality cutouts) across social, email, web, etc. creative, • Creative drives concrete user action — click-throughs to ModeSens, Elite membership sign-ups, and other conversion moments — not just passive engagement, • Web/app design specs handed to Product and UI/UX are implementable without major rework, • Other teams proactively bring you in for decisions rather than working around or escalating Qualifications • 5+ years of design experience post-university, with a portfolio that shows both brand/creative direction and hands-on design execution across social, email, web, banner ads, etc., • Experience building or extending a visual brand system: color, typography, imagery — and applying it consistently across channels, not just producing one-off assets, • Strong social-first instincts. You know what reads as native and premium on IG/Reels/TikTok, and what reads as a discount flyer stapled onto a nice photo, • Comfortable directing and using AI production tools and outsourced production resources as needed — where they speed up execution or raise quality, without losing brand consistency, • Comfortable refreshing, applying and extending a brand system hands-on, with the judgment to make strong branding calls and provide a reasonable POV on all production and creative direction decisions, • Strong creative-concepting instincts, able to originate distinct ideas rather than defaulting to generic templates or mirroring what competitors are already doing, • Strong collaborator who can work quickly to meet deadlines, comfortable giving direct, fast feedback to Marketing and other teams (as well as receiving it), and taking direction from Brand, • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva, • Motion/Reels editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, After Effects) Extra Points • Background in fashion, luxury, or lifestyle brands (or real passion for the space), • Experience in DTC/e-commerce or rewards- and membership-driven brands and/or tech and software, • Experience writing or maintaining brand guidelines across all digital channels Engagement Details • This is a part-time position with a Monday–Friday work schedule, max 29 hours per week., • Remote / Work from Anywhere with prior approval, • Reports directly to Brand Director; works closely with the Copy/Marketing/Social/Product teams ModeSens is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and strives to accommodate qualified individuals with disabilities. We welcome diversity and are committed to cultivating an inclusive environment for all of our team members. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship. The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position with or without prior notice.
