Job Description FIDELITY HOTEL is hiring for a FRONT OF HOUSE LEAD Fidelity Hotel is an adaptive reuse project located at 1940 E. 6th Street in the historic 103-year-old Baker Building. Fidelity Hotel has 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. The property features a full-service restaurant, bar, event & meeting spaces, and a private dining room. Fidelity Hotel is an homage to Cleveland’s long-standing ideals. What you'll do: • Maintain product knowledge to inform guests and team members of specials, allergens, selling points, and recommendations, • Assist with the training of new service team members, • Ensure team members have a complete understanding of their job requirements and sufficient training; communicate team member areas of opportunity to the outlet manager, • Communicate shift goals and expectations to team members and conduct pre-shift, • Maintain a level of awareness of the outlet’s ambiance including lighting, temperature, decor, and audio levels, • Ensure proper attention is given to all guests, including additional care towards VIPS, employees, investors, and frequent diners, • Maintain an awareness of team members needs by having eyes on all sections of the floor, host stand, bar well, expo, and bussing areas and support all FOH departments as needed, • Monitor staff to ensure properly executed service, positivity, and enthusiasm in both the outlet and during events, • Provide a daily summary of the shift highlighting the highs and lows of the evening and perform end of day administrative tasks such as cash procedures, opening duties, and closing duties., • Gauge level of guest satisfaction by seeking feedback from guests throughout their dining experience as appropriate, • Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns and apply corrective measures when necessary, • Promote and encourage guest name recognition, • Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met, • Adhere to state liquor laws and regulations; verify minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages, • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work area, • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition, • You have a state-issued food handling + beverage certifications as required, • You have 2+ years of experience in a front-of-house role, • You can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, • You can write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively after guests and groups of co-workers, • You can navigate and operate a computer and Point of Sale (POS) systems We are proud to offer competitive wages and the following benefits for full-time employees: • Up to 3 weeks paid time off annually, • 50% off discount at most New Waterloo restaurants, • Health, vision + dental benefits, • 401K matching, • Paid holidays, • Volunteer pay, • Tuition reimbursement, • Referral bonuses New Waterloo is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
