Salary: $30 - $35 per hour A bit about us: A well-established company is seeking an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to manage the day-to-day coordination of international shipments and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant movement of products across borders. The ideal candidate will have experience with import/export documentation, international freight, customs compliance, brokers, carriers, and logistics coordination. This role will work closely with purchasing, sales, warehouse, transportation, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers and customers. Why join us? The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of import and export operations, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient supply chain operations and will require a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for international trade. Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate and manage all import and export activities, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations., 2. Interface with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods., 3. Prepare and process necessary import and export documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs declarations., 4. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing storage costs., 5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import and export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements, advising the management team on potential impacts or opportunities., 6. Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any issues related to import and export activities., 7. Develop and implement strategies to optimize import and export processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements., 8. Conduct regular audits of import and export processes and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy., 9. Provide regular reports to management on import and export activities, costs, and performance metrics. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field., 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an import/export role within the manufacturing industry., 3. In-depth knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping practices., 4. Experience in dealing with FDA regulations is a plus., 5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines., 6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders., 7. Proficiency in using import/export management software and Microsoft Office Suite., 8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex import and export data and make informed decisions., 9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills., 10.
