Job DescriptionDiesel Technician – $30–$35/HR – Full-Time – 1st Shift Location: Omaha, NE Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7AM–5PM (Occasional Saturdays) Overview We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a leading construction company’s fleet maintenance team. This is a full-time, shop-based role (90% in-shop) performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and major repairs on a wide range of equipment, including trailers, side dumps, heavy equipment, and pickups. Pay ranges from $30–$35 per hour based on experience. We offer competitive pay, strong benefits, and a stable, supportive work environment. Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment, • Perform major repairs and preventive maintenance on:, • Trailers, • Side dumps, • Heavy equipment, • Pickups and other fleet vehicles, • Utilize a diesel laptop to read, analyze, and interpret diagnostic software across multiple OEMs, • Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical systems, • Complete work with high-quality standards, accuracy, and a focus on safety, • Document repairs, findings, and parts usedQualificationsMinimum Requirements:, • 5+ years of diesel experience (equipment + vehicles), • Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair, • Proficiency using diesel laptops and OEM software, • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, • Experience with preventive maintenance and major mechanical work, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanshipPreferred:, • Class A CDL with air brake + manual endorsements, • Experience with a variety of construction and fleet equipmentAdditional Requirements:, • Must provide your own tools, • $30–$35 per hour, • 401(k), • Paid time off, • Paid holidays, • Supportive company culture and long-term career stability, • Opportunities to grow within a respected construction organizationWork Environment, • 90% shop-based work, • Some field work as needed, • Monday–Friday, 7AM–5PM, with occasional Saturdays depending on workload Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
