Job Description Job Title: Assembler / Electrical Control Panel Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses based on detailed engineering prints. You will handle the full build process, from fabricating controls and mounting components to performing final tests to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality operation of industrial equipment. Success in this position requires precise workmanship, strong attention to detail, and consistent adherence to established company policies and procedures. Responsibilities • Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses according to engineering prints and documentation., • Physically mount and secure all components, including electrical and mechanical parts, to ensure correct placement and alignment., • Perform panel wiring and electrical assembly, including routing, bundling, and terminating wires in an organized and professional manner., • Strip and crimp wires accurately to prepare leads and connections that meet quality and safety standards., • Use hand tools and assembly tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical and electrical build tasks., • Follow written and verbal instructions carefully to ensure that assemblies meet specifications and customer requirements., • Conduct functional testing of completed control panels and assemblies to verify proper operation and identify any issues., • Inspect work thoroughly for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with engineering prints and internal standards., • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines throughout the assembly and testing process., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues, improve build quality, and support continuous improvement. Essential Skills • Experience with electrical wiring and panel wiring for industrial or control panel applications., • Ability to assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses from engineering prints., • Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks., • Skill in stripping and crimping wires accurately and safely., • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise, high-quality assembly and wiring., • Ability to follow instructions, including engineering prints, work instructions, and procedures., • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical assembly concepts., • of the shift as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in electrical assembly, control panel building, or panel wiring in an industrial environment., • Mechanical assembly experience using standard hand tools., • Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical components in a production setting., • Interest in long-term growth within a stable manufacturing or industrial organization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
