Job Description About the Part Time High School Building Aide Role As a dedicated High School Building Aide, your primary responsibility is to support the efficient operation of the school by assisting with arrival, dismissal, lunch and various student culture and operational tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining a conducive learning environment. Role Overview: As a dedicated High School Building Aide, your primary responsibility is to support the efficient operation of the school by assisting with arrival, dismissal, lunch and various student culture and operational tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining a conducive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Arrival, Lunch, and Dismissal Assistance: • Manage the flow of students during arrival, dismissal and lunch times, ensuring orderly transitions., • Assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety around the school premises., • Help set up and organize materials and equipment for school activities, events, and assemblies., • Assist with the distribution and collection of educational materials and supplies., • Provide support and guidance to students as they navigate the school environment., • Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and protocols, including fire drills and lockdowns., • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols and guidelines.Qualifications Love and see the high potential of all children * Experience working with children in school, childcare or enrichment settings * Ability to quickly build relationships and rapport with children and uphold high expectations in a warm but clear and direct manner * Flexible, team-player committed to ensuring a positive, joyful experience for students * Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks: * PA State Police Clearance * PA Child Abuse Clearance * Cogent Federal Fingerprinting Additional Information Compensation KIPP Philadelphia Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
