Job Description Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager Overview: We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead and oversee the technical accounting function within a dynamic, multinational environment. This role will serve as the subject matter expert on US GAAP and PCAOB standards, driving compliance, financial reporting excellence, and process improvements in preparation for potential future public company requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex accounting issues, consolidated financial statements, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the technical accounting function, providing expertise on US GAAP and PCAOB standards., • Research and evaluate the impact of new or evolving accounting standards (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, debt/equity financing, goodwill, impairment) and lead implementation efforts., • Develop and maintain technical accounting documentation, including memos, position papers, and presentation materials to support audits and internal communication., • Collaborate with legal, FP&A, tax, and business teams to address accounting implications in new initiatives and contracts., • Manage the monthly and quarterly global financial consolidation process across multiple legal entities and currencies., • Prepare accurate internal and external financial reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and readiness for a public company environment., • Assist in preparing audited financial statements, including footnote disclosures and MD&A narratives., • Support SEC readiness and IPO preparation efforts by building reporting frameworks., • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies., • Partner with regional finance leaders to align local statutory practices with group consolidation requirements., • Provide mentorship and training on technical accounting and month-end close best practices., • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the financial close and reporting efficiency., • Draft, update, and implement global accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance across entities., • Maintain a centralized accounting policy manual and provide training to finance teams worldwide. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required., • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big Four or mid-tier) and multinational corporate accounting., • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including complex areas such as ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), foreign currency, intercompany transactions, and ASC 718 (equity accounting)., • Proven experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements for multi-entity, multi-currency organizations., • Demonstrated success supporting year-end audits and managing external auditor inquiries., • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while meeting tight deadlines., • Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with strong reading and speaking skills to communicate with regional teams and review accounting documents., • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with keen attention to detail., • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders., • Proactive and solutions-oriented, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and scale operations. PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $155,000 and bonus.
