We provide community-based prevention and family foster care services, group homes in the community for struggling children and families within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and short-term residential services for unaccompanied migrant children. PROGRAM BACKGROUND: Behavioral Health Services fosters an environment of clinical care driven by the physical and emotional needs of the clients and families we serve. These services are carefully assessed and administered through best practice by qualified professionals for optimal health outcomes. SUMMARY: To provide a full range of clinical services to the residents as a member of the treatment team. Supervise social work interns if/as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s Degree in Social Work with an LMSW or an MHC with a limited permit., • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record., • Clinical-related experience in the assessment and treatment of children and families and relevant experience with children/adolescents., • Experience & knowledge of child/adolescent growth & development and families including child/adolescent development stages and family dynamics. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Use accepted techniques of assessment and therapeutic intervention demonstrating competency in trauma treatment via individual and group sessions, • Provide individual counseling and treatment, substance abuse counseling and treatment, trauma-informed counseling and treatment, family and group counseling, • Work with the Treatment Team/Care Team to establish treatment goals for youth/children utilizing historical and current information available, • Practice use of Evidence-based treatment models: CBT, TF-CBT, SPARCS, ARC, • Assist youth to develop skills as defined in treatment goals, • Provide youth and families with psychoeducation and wellness education, • Report behaviors believed to be symptomatic, emotional, physical, or psychological disturbances, • De-escalate emotional and/or physical outbursts through the use of therapeutic crisis intervention, • Assist in psychiatric hospitalizations, • Ensure required documentation for all case actions (clinical notes) are completed within established timeframes., • Work collaboratively with other departments including Health Office, Care Management, AODs, etc., • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and staff, • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients BENEFITS/PERKS: • A comprehensive health insurance package including medical, dental and vision plans for you and your family, • 403B retirement benefits, • Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance, • Generous paid time off (vacation, personal, sick, 12 paid holidays), • Free employee assistance program through National EAP, • Insurance discounts for our staff and their families, • Trainings to support professional and personal development, • Employee wellness program, • Employee recognition activities Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year Hiring bonus of $1,000 after 500 worked hours MercyFirst is an inclusive, anti-racist, multicultural organization and an Equal Opportunity Employer who welcomes prospective employees from diverse backgrounds for all levels at the agency.
