Job DescriptionManufacturing Packaging and Crating Specialist – Milpitas, CA Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Manufacturing Packaging and Crating Specialist for a project engagement at one of our Global clients in Milpitas, CA. Title: Manufacturing Packaging and Crating Specialist Location: Milpitas, CA (95035) Pay: $30 hr, plus benefits and PTO Hours: M-F 6am-2:30pm Duration: one year The Manufacturing Packaging Crating Specialist is responsible for executing, verifying, and documenting the complete packaging and crating process for complex medical systems. This role ensures systems are prepared for domestic and international shipment in strict compliance with Manufacturing Instructions MI , quality system requirements, and regulatory standards. The position is critical to protecting high value equipment, maintaining shipment schedules, and preventing shipment related quality issues. Primary Responsibilities: • Execute end to end packaging preparation and crating activities per approved Manufacturing Instructions e.g., shipping lockdowns, protective covers, component removal, bubble wrapping, shrink wrapping, and barrier bag sealing., • Perform crate kit verification, pack in item validation, and correct placement of all accessories, manuals, and documentation., • Accurately complete eDHR/DHR entries, appendices, checklists, and required photo documentation within SAP., • Verify, apply, and document Product ID, UDI, shipping, and regulatory labels, including required second operator verifications., • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure on time shipment readiness., • Identify, document, and escalate packaging nonconformances, missing kit contents, or labeling discrepancies., • Maintain compliance with EHS requirements, including safe handling, lifting, and movement of large systems and crates., • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, repeatability, and error reduction as shipment volumes scale., • High school diploma or equivalent technical or manufacturing certifications preferred., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, packaging, crating, or logistics, preferably in a regulated environment medical device, aerospace, or similar., • Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions and technical documentation., • Experience using DHR/eDHR systems, SAP, checklists, and formal quality documentation., • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated quality mindset., • Ability to safely handle and move large, high value equipment using appropriate tools., • Proficiency with computers and standard software tools Excel, Word , SAP, and Agile systems. Preferred Qualifications:, • Experience with medical device packaging and labeling requirements., • Familiarity with UDI labeling, international shipments, and regulatory documentation., • Pallet jack or similar material handling certification.
