Trust is the basis of our co-operation within G+D. /ppbr/ppbr/ppWe are seeking a bSenior Platform Engineer /bto join our growing team in Barcelona. /ppbr/ppbr/ppbYour Responsibilities /b /pulliDefine and automate runtime infrastructure (networks, databases, proxies, and firewalls) as code, both cloud and on-premises. /liliEnsure secure and reliable systems by applying network and infrastructure security best practices. /liliDesign, implement, and operate robust monitoring, logging, and alerting tools so engineers can confidently own their apps. /liliChampion CI/CD for development teams—support them in building, securing, QA pipelining, packaging, and releasing applications. /liliApply automation everywhere possible, empower teams with self-service, and drive company-wide innovation. /li /ulpbr/ppbr/ppbTechnical Skills Experience /b /pulliHands-on expertise with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc). /liliProficient in Infrastructure as Code (especially Terraform). /liliExtensive practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes. /liliComfortable in Linux/Unix, with a good grasp of system internals. /liliSkilled at scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). /liliBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, HA concepts). /liliExperience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD is a plus). /liliFamiliarity with modern monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). /liliSecurity-by-design thinker; knowledge of infrastructure and app security best practices, cloud vulnerabilities, compliance, and incident response. /liliExcellent problem-solving and reasoning skills. /li /ulpbr/ppbr/ppbSoft Skills /b /pulliProven team player: collaborative, supportive, and able to thrive in cross-functional teams. /liliStrong communicator, fluent in English (written and verbal). /liliAnalytical mindset with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. /li /ulpbr/ppbr/ppbOnboarding Plan /b /ppbWeeks 1–2: Getting Started /b /pulliComplete introductions and gain access to all platforms/tools. /liliDive into company infrastructure—review architecture diagrams, environment setup guides, cloud policies, and CI/CD systems. /liliConnect with team leads; shadow colleagues on daily ops and support routines. /li /ulpb Weeks 3–4: Hands-On Exploration /b /pulliParticipate in deploying key infrastructure components (using Terraform, Kubernetes). /liliSet up and customize monitoring/logging for a test environment. /liliAssist in refining CI/CD pipelines and participate in at least one release process. /liliWork with security team—review configurations, learn compliance and incident response flows. /li /ulpbWeeks 5–8: Ownership and Contribution /b /pulliTake responsibility for one infrastructure module (cloud network, monitoring, or CI/CD workflow). /liliIntroduce a small automation improvement (new script or tool). /liliMentor junior engineers by walking through platform ops tasks. /liliPresent a review of security practices implemented and suggest an improvement. /liliJoin cross-functional meetings to inform and refine dev/ops collaboration. /li /ulpbr/ppb Continuous Learning: /b /pulliRegular catch-ups with peers. /liliScheduled follow-ups with manager to review progress and set development goals. /liliKeep a log of questions, blockers, and suggestions for process improvement. /li /ulpbr/ppbr/ppbWhat’s great about working with us: /b /pulliCulture and diversity: Join a people-oriented environment with different nationalities and a great team spirit, flat hierarchies (everyone speaks to everyone).
