Finance & Operations Manager About Glowery and the role We are a fast-growing beauty start-up based in Paris, selling DTC worldwide and preparing for a major European retail launch in January. To support this next stage of growth, we are hiring a Finance & Operations Manager. You will ensure that commercial forecasts are translated into clear production and financial requirements, act as the connector between sell-out forecasts, sell-in commitments, and production planning, and own our ERP system (Odoo) for purchases and inventory. You will also support core finance processes, making sure data is accurate and reliable for decision-making. Key responsibilities • Finance control & processes, • Oversee day-to-day finance operations: ensure supplier invoices, purchase orders, expense reimbursements, and payments are processed accurately and on time., • Support CFO in monthly closing pack: cashflow, variance vs. budget, and margin tracking, • Ensure landed COGS and gross margin reporting are accurate in Odoo, by keeping purchase and inventory data up to date and reconciling with accounting., • Ensure all finance data flows cleanly between Odoo and accounting, • Demand & supply planning, • Own the rolling demand and supply plan: take sales and marketing forecasts as inputs and translate them into SKU-level production requirements, factoring in lead times, MOQs, and safety stock levels, • Identify risks and gaps such as potential stock-outs, excess inventory, or timing conflicts, and flag them early to the CFO and Head of Ops, • Provide scenario-based recommendations to support production and purchasing decisions, • Ensure consistency of data across finance (cashflow planning), operations (production scheduling), and Odoo (inventory records), • ERP (Odoo) ownership – purchase & inventory, • Own and maintain master data for products, components, and suppliers, • Ensure supplier invoices are accurately recorded in Odoo and linked to the right POs and inventory, • Perform monthly inventory valuation, reconcile inventory movements, and ensure stock accuracy in the system, • Safeguard the reliability of landed COGS and gross margin reporting by keeping purchase and inventory data complete and reconciled with accounting, • Reporting & cross-functional support, • Build and maintain operational dashboards (stock coverage, purchase commitments, production status, cash impact), • Provide data and insights for investor updates, board packs, and retail partner reporting Requirements • 3–5 years of professional experience in finance and/or operations roles within consumer brands, ideally with exposure to supply chain or inventory management; start-up experience is a strong plus, • Strong financial and operational acumen: able to connect sales forecasts, production planning, and cashflow, • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience working with ERP systems (Odoo preferred, but other ERP experience acceptable), • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written), • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to structure complex information, • Analytical, curious, and comfortable with numbers, • Self-starter who can take ownership of processes and drive improvements, • Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team where priorities evolve quickly, • Based in Paris and working primarily from the office, with some flexibility
