Job Description 1/ Supervise the forklift operator(s) in the Shipping department: • Lead, motivate, and guide forklift operators to achieve set objectives;, • Provide technical support to the team;, • Ensure compliance with storage, preparation, and shipping procedures., • Prepare orders administratively (generate picking lists, verify product availability, and arrange transport)., • Supervise the physical preparation of orders (quality of packaging, adherence to procedures, and package identification)., • Prepare the necessary shipping and export documentation (bill of lading, CMR, invoice, customs documents, etc.) and forward it to the relevant drivers or sales administration staff + file it., • Record the shipments in the sales-related transport invoicing system., • Monitor carriers' adherence to loading schedules and follow up as needed. (Manage transport disputes) • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of stock and inventory movements in SAP. (Conducting cycle counts and correcting discrepancies) and updating the warehouse storage location Excel file., • Monitoring and controlling transport invoicing. • Define with the site operations manager the temporary staffing needs and ensure that these needs are met. • Supervise and train temporary staff in conjunction with the Human Resources department and manage the renewal of temporary staff as needed (contract management and training record responsibility?)., • Develop the site transportation plan in collaboration with the logistics manager., • Establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships with staff within your department and other departments (attend the daily production meeting on behalf of the logistics department)., • Actively participate in and lead departmental meetings., • Proactively suggest improvements to your workstation. • Report to the Logistics Manager on the service's progress and keep them informed of any specific issues (absences, delays, problems, etc.)., • Validate the time sheets of logistics staff and organize the forklift operator's leave and temporary staffing needs. • Keeping your department's indicators up to date (carrier KPIs, HSE, Quality, etc.) • Propose skills development opportunities for forklift operators in collaboration with the Logistics Manager;, • Define training needs in collaboration with the Logistics Manager;, • Conduct annual performance reviews. 2/ Respect and enforce the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policy: • Respect and enforce, within your area (forklift operators and carriers), legal and regulatory provisions and internal HSE rules in collaboration with the HSE Manager (ensure proper use of equipment, wearing of PPE, etc.)., • Promote and develop a risk prevention culture (active participation in HSE meetings, proposing measures to be taken in case of behavioral deviations, etc.). 3/ Respect and enforce the company's Quality policy: • Ensure the achievement of Quality objectives and indicators for the Logistics process, • Participate in quality audits, • React to all deviations and propose corrective actions (active participation in various Quality meetings, participation in the implementation of preventive and corrective actions in collaboration with the Quality Manager and the Logistics Manager), • Monitor non-conformities in stock within the warehouse (product isolation, physical flow aligned with the IT system) 4/ Backup? • Occasional travel to the Lorette site possible, • Forklift operator supervision during the absence of the supply planning manager. Required Skills and Knowledge: • English: Professional level (reading, writing, speaking), • Computer skills: (Microsoft Office suite, ERP; SAP knowledge would be an asset), • Transportation knowledge: Bill of Lading, CMR (basic customs knowledge would be an asset), • Attention to detail (Guarantee of customs documentation for the site + adherence to ISO procedures on site), • Ability to work under pressure, strong interpersonal skills (Excellent communication skills between departments) Qualifications/ Experience: • Candidates with limited experience and a two-year post-secondary degree in Logistics and Transportation are welcome, as are more experienced candidates with less formal qualifications but significant experience in transportation and/or warehousing.
