Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Electrical Bias Location: Birmingham Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits (Total package circa £50,000) Monday-Friday I am recruiting an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical bias to support production through effective maintenance and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Support and guide maintenance engineers and TPM engineers in daily tasks, • Collaborate closely with technical support, quality, and manufacturing teams, • Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, healthy working environment, • Work with specialist equipment and support new machine introductions, • Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on automated production lines, • Perform fault finding across electrical, robotics, PLC, HMI, servo motors, and drives, • Lead continuous improvement activities on production equipment Skills & Experience Required: • Minimum 10 years’ maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, • Strong CNC experience (mechanical & electrical), • PLC trained with experience in Fanuc robots and servo motors/drives, • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, • HNC Electrical/Electronic qualification or higher, • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, • Able to work on own initiative and collaboratively within a team, • Awareness of health and safety regulations, • Willing to work a double day shift pattern, with weekend and shutdown maintenance support as needed Benefits: • Competitive salary with shift allowance, • Holiday – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, • Overtime opportunities (regular), • Life assurance (2x cover), • Auto-enrolment pension scheme, • Potential quarterly bonus (£1,100 per year), • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, • Employee assistance programme and discount schemes Hours: Double day shift pattern: • Week 1: Mon-Thurs 6am–2pm, Fri 6am–11am, • Week 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm–10pm, Fri 11am–4pm
