We’re seeking for an Experienced Buyer About the role This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with bookkeeping and administration experience, who enjoys being involved in all aspects of office life. Working hand in hand with our part-time Finance Manager, you will be responsible for data entry, record-keeping in Xero (without direct bank access), and general office administration assisting the sales and procurement team. Responsibilities • Enter sales invoices, supplier invoices, purchase orders, and bills into Xero, • Post transactions and complete bank reconciliations, • Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping, • Assist with UK and EU VAT returns, • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, • Keep supplier and client records accurate and up to date, • Carry out general office administration, filing, and shipment/invoice tracking What we are looking for • AAT-qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, degree-level, or qualified by experience, • At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounts role, • Experience in a small business environment is an advantage, • Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software) and Excel, • Understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping, • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask, • Bonus: Knowledge of import/export processes and EU VAT Soft Skills & Mindset • A genuine team player who collaborates well across departments, • Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to set priorities and responsive to suppliers., • Able to remain calm under pressure and handle shifting deadlines gracefully, • A strong communicator with a solutions-first attitude, • Detail-oriented, reliable, and always looking for ways to improve processes, • Curious and eager to grow within a small, ambitious team., • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic about what they do. Salary & Benefits Salary: £29,000 to £33,000 per year. 28 days of holiday allowance (in addition to public holidays). Complimentary breakfast essentials like cereal, porridge, fruit, bread, spreads, and beverages (coffee, tea, milk). Work-from-home one day per week (not while on probation and discretionary) Annual bonus based on company performance and position’s goals being achieved (discretionary).
