Il Bistrotto is an Italian bistro in Chelsea, created in collaboration with Velier, one of the most respected names in the spirits world. We are an evening-only venue with a warm, vibrant atmosphere. We serve a menu of Italian tapas-style plates, designed for fast and energetic service. While this is a full Sous Chef role across all sections of the kitchen, the successful candidate will also need to be confident working in our bakery station, where we prepare our house-made Focaccia al Formaggio — one of the highlights of our menu. Responsibilities: • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, • Arrange stocks and support the head chef in creating recipes, • Work efficiently across all stations, including assisting with focaccia production, • Maintain excellent standards of quality, organisation, and food safety Requirements: • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up, • Knowledge of Italian cuisine; confidence with doughs is a plus, • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment What We Offer: • Evening-only shifts (apart from weekend), • A supportive, creative kitchen environment, • Opportunity to grow within a project backed by Velier If this sounds like the right fit, we would love to hear from you.
