Senior Sous Chef position available in a large hotel in Falmouth. My client are seeking a talented, driven and experienced Senior Sous Chef to strengthen their kitchen brigade. This is a key leadership role within the culinary team, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food across restaurant, weddings, events and seasonal offerings. Responsibilities • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen., • Lead and motivate the kitchen, promoting consistency, quality and teamwork., • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard., • Maintain strong control over food quality, hygiene and health & safety procedures., • Assist with menu development, seasonal changes and special event menus., • Manage stock control, ordering and wastage to maintain GP targets., • Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Requirements • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team., • Excellent knowledge of fresh, seasonal ingredients and modern cooking techniques., • Ability to perform under pressure in a busy service environment., • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail., • A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to excellence., • Level 2 Food Hygiene (or equivalent) preferred.
