HGV + Operative • Located in Carlisle, • Permanent, Full-time, • £29,696 base salary + Overtime package available, • Ex British Military candidates only Looking for a hands-on, high-impact role where no two days are the same? We're recruiting an HGV Driver/Operative who’s happy to take on a mix of driving and practical fieldwork. If you have experience with HGV Class 1/2 and/or groundworks or similar site-based duties and enjoy problem-solving you could be a great fit. What You’ll Be Doing: • Operating tankers and other company vehicles (HGV/Class 2), • High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-up work, • Groundworks, remedial tasks and tank uplifts, • Installing, servicing and inspecting tanks/interceptors, • Handling spill response and industrial cleaning activities, • Assisting emergency response teams when required, • Working towards relevant industry accreditations (including utility & rail standards) What We Need From You: • HGV Class 1/2 licence (ADR beneficial but not essential), • Familiarity with RAMS documentation, • Understanding of Tacho use and vehicle checks (training available), • A flexible, proactive approach – overtime and call-outs form part of the role, • Experience in multi-skilled or trade-based work (plant operation advantageous), • Willingness to work away from home on occasion – travel and accommodation provided
