Crookhey Hall School is seeking a reliable and proactive School Cleaner to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness across our well-presented specialist school as part of our continued growth. About the Role We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our premises. This vital role ensures a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with the Site Manager and school leadership to carry out scheduled and ad hoc cleaning duties efficiently, safely, and in line with school policies. Key Responsibilities • Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas., • Carry out additional cleaning tasks outside of the scheduled rota as needed., • Coordinate cleaning schedules around school activities and events., • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and stock levels., • Comply with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH, and school procedures., • Report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly., • Proven experience in general cleaning duties, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, waste disposal, and maintaining supplies., • Solid understanding of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals., • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail., • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards., • Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude. About us Crookhey Hall School is a Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) School which caters for boys and girls aged 10 - 17 years of age. Crookhey Hall School has a 15-acre setting in countryside south of Cockerham, near Lancaster. Due to the location, it would be beneficial for candidates to have a driving licence. The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil’s potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives.
