Geoenvironmental Engineer Location: Colchester Salary: £32,000-£36,000 Are you looking to progress your career within a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy working on a diverse range of projects across the built environment? You'll be involved in both site and office-based work, supporting projects from initial investigation through to reporting, remediation, and construction phases. What's on Offer: • Competitive salary, • Generous pension scheme, • Life insurance cover, • Flexible holiday benefits, • Healthcare cash plan and private medical insurance, • Cycle to Work scheme, • Retail and shopping discounts, • Professional membership fee reimbursement, • Support towards Chartership and continued professional development, • Long service recognition schemes, • Flexible working arrangements, • Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive ground investigations, • Assisting with the planning and supervision of Phase 2 site investigations, • Carrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and sampling activities, • Supervising drilling rigs, excavation works, and subcontractors on site, • Coordinating laboratory testing and interpreting geotechnical and environmental data, • Assisting with geotechnical assessments including settlement and earthworks evaluations, • Supporting remediation projects and validation works, • Preparing technical reports including factual, interpretative, and remediation reports, • Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary design teams, • Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, • Experience within a geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy environment, • Good understanding of site investigations, contaminated land assessment, and remediation principles, • Strong communication and technical report-writing skills, • Ability to manage workload effectively and work to project deadlines, • A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail, • Experience carrying out site work and interpreting investigation data, • Full UK driving licence If you're ready for your next challenge in geoenvironmental engineering, we'd love to hear from you-apply now.
