Senior Project Manager (tier 1 main contractor - health sector) Location: North East London Type: Full-time, permanent Salary: Up to £110,000 Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large and complex construction projects. This role involves full responsibility for project execution, overseeing cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment, and stakeholder management, while ensuring all client requirements are met or exceeded. The Senior Project Manager will act as the senior site representative, leading multiple project teams, managing client relationships, and driving performance to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing project delivery team., • Maintain a clear management structure and ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities., • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities., • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, resolving conflicts effectively when they arise. Project Delivery and Execution • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards., • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations., • Conduct regular site inspections and review Health & Safety performance., • Procure materials, plant, and subcontractors in line with project timelines., • Identify and mitigate potential risks, disputes, and legal issues. Project Planning and Control • Develop and maintain project strategies, work plans, and schedules., • Monitor progress, holding regular status meetings with project teams., • Review project plans and performance regularly, identifying opportunities for improvement., • Ensure effective communication and coordination across all project stakeholders. Financial and Contract Management • Understand and manage contractual obligations and cost structures., • Oversee financial performance, reporting regularly on project status, costs, and value., • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and efficiency., • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support business objectives. Client and Stakeholder Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, end users, and key stakeholders., • Address queries, issues, and complaints promptly and professionally., • Represent the project at client meetings, presentations, and progress reviews., • Support the development of future business opportunities through strong client relationships. Administration and Reporting • Ensure all project documentation, systems, and reporting processes are maintained and up to date., • Oversee site administration, including IT and operational requirements., • Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with company procedures and standards. Level of Responsibility This is a senior leadership position requiring significant autonomy, decision-making authority, and accountability for the performance of others. The role demands specialist knowledge, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
