JOB DETAILS JOB BAND: D CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £70,000 - £80,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. Plus London Weighting Allowance of £5,441. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Content Security Manager will play a critical role in safeguarding our content from production through to broadcast. Reporting to the Content Security Director, you'll support and enhance our Content Security framework, ensuring our content and systems are protected across a complex, global ecosystem. The role is also responsible for Information Security matters at UKTV, supported by the BBC's Information Security team. The position will work closely with and support all key stakeholder groups including Technology, Production, Sales, Distribution, Global Operations and Brands and Marketing teams. You'll take ownership of vendor security assessments, manage risk, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across BBC Studios and UKTV. This is a highly collaborative role where you'll balance security best practice with real-world business needs. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT: Lead information security activities for UKTV. Owns the vendor assessment programme for BBC Studios. Conduct content security assessments of vendors and other partners reviewing compliance around physical security, digital security, organisational security, and related processes. Support all aspects of the security assessments, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and archiving. Evaluate and test internal and external workflows, processes, and controls and identify areas of risk. Manage vendor assessment remediation projects and revalidation of security compliance. Liaise with vendors and internal partners to identify, report, and remediate risks related to content security. Escalation of any significant risks to appropriate management and track outcomes and timelines. Help support the creation, development and maintenance of a Content Security risk register and the management of all KPIs as agreed with the Compliance and Risk Committee. Assist in investigations relating to threats to our content and collaborate with our social media and brand protection teams as well as our external monitoring services. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: In-depth understanding of television and film production and post-production technologies, services, and workflows Proven experience working within TV, film, or media production environments Extensive, well-rounded knowledge of information security principles and industry best practices Strong understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance, and operational procedures Familiarity with recognised standards including ISO 27001, MPA, and the Trusted Partner Network Demonstrated experience producing security reports, including findings, risk assessments, and recommendations DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: Knowledge of private network delivery mechanisms e.g. set-top box, satellite or cable. Experience of working in an organisation that has a global focus and a wide network of partners. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM (or equivalent).
