This is a full time role, remote – though we’d ask you attend office once or twice a month. This can be Leeds or Oxfordshire. The Role: This is a genuinely key and brand new role in an organisation going through a period of growth and change. The role involves designing, delivering, and evaluating crisis and resilience exercises across the organisation. The role ensures that executives, management, and operational teams are prepared to respond effectively to major disruptions, whether caused by technology failures, cyber incidents, third-party outages, or external crises. This is not a purely technical role. It combines elements of risk management, facilitation, and storytelling. The person in this role will create realistic scenarios, lead engaging exercises, collaborate across teams and translate lessons into clear actions that improve organisational resilience. The Scenario Exercise & Crisis Management Lead plays a critical role in strengthening the organisation’s ability to withstand disruption. By preparing teams to respond to crises, this role helps protect clients, reputation, regulatory compliance, and long-term business resilience. Key Responsibilities: (not exhaustive nor are any two days the same!) • Scenario Design & Execution, • Exercise Delivery, • Regulatory Considerations, • Stakeholder Management, • Continuous Improvement, • After-action reporting FULL JOB DESCRIPTION AND COMPANY DETAILS AVAILABLE ONCE WE’VE HAD AN INITIAL CALL You: • Background in risk management, business continuity, cybersecurity, or crisis management., • Experience designing or facilitating tabletop or crisis exercises., • Exposure to executive-level decision-making and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders., • Familiarity with regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, PRA, ICO) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL) desirable., • Proven experience in operational resilience, with a strong understanding of the UK Operational Resilience Regulations (2025)., • Track record of producing structured reports and improvement plans.
