Management Accountant £52,530 per annum Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk Permanent,Full Time Fulltime: 37hrs per week Proposed Interview Date: weekcommencing5 January 2026 We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team,supporting the Financial Controller in delivering high quality financial support andexpertiseto the business. As part of a small, collaborative team of Management Accountants the successful candidate will have exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities and projects. This role offers the chance to develop and use skills across multiple areas including monthly reporting, forecasting, business planning, financial analysis, treasurymanagementand statutory reporting. Business partnering isan important elementof the role, supporting senior leaders with financial decision-making and planning while working to increase financial awareness and acumen across the operational teams. Alongside day-to-day responsibilities, the team play an active part in driving efficiencies and improving financial processes, contributing to the continuous enhancement of systems and workflows. Key Responsibilities Include: Prepare monthly Saffron Group management accounts and Saffron's subsidiaries, supporting analysis and commentary. Support budget managers with preparation of their budgets and quarterly forecasts. Manage the external reporting and record-keeping relating to housing properties and other fixed assets. Hold regular reviews with budget managers to review financial performance, field day-to-dayqueriesand provide challenge to budget/forecast assumptions and expenditure. Proactivelyparticipatein the development, improvement and automation of financial controls,processesand systems. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Education and Qualifications Qualification with a recognised accounting body (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA) Experience Familiarity with month-end and year-end processes. Experience of preparing and analysing financial information and discussing this with senior stakeholders. Strong understanding of budgeting,forecastingand planning. Skills,Knowledgeand Abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financially trained colleagues, building strong relationships across the organisation. Technical knowledge of financial reporting, including a working knowledge of the requirements of FRS102. Strong skills in using common IT systems and software, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Time management skills. Will be methodical and analytical and be able to plan time effectively to meet internal and external deadlines. Personal Attributes Collaborative and adaptable approach. Comfortable handling varied tasks working in a small team. Able to build positive relationships across the business. Proactive mindset, taking the initiative toidentifyissues and suggest improvements. Commercial awareness and curiosity to understand the wider business impact of financial decisions.
