Quantity SurveyorSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 + packageLocation: Vauxhall, London (office-based, 5 days a week)The OpportunityWe're recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established painting and decorating contractor delivering high-quality finishes across London and the UK. Established for over 50 years, the business has built a reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client relationships, working alongside major contractors, developers, and end clients across a wide range of sectors.This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing commercial team where you'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account. The business offers long-term career progression, a supportive management team, and exposure to a varied portfolio of prestigious projects.About the Role — What You'll Be DoingWorking from the Vauxhall office, you'll manage the commercial aspects of painting, decorating, specialist coatings, and finishes projects across London and the South East. You will: • Manage project costs from tender handover through to final account, • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations, • Identify, price, and agree variations, • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts, • Monitor project profitability and cost reporting, • Prepare monthly CVRs and commercial forecasts, • Support project teams with contractual and commercial matters, • Work closely with clients, site teams, and senior management to maximise project performance, • Assist in the negotiation and agreement of final accountsAbout the Business — Where You'll Be WorkingYou'll be joining a respected specialist contractor focused on painting, decorating, specialist finishes, fire protection coatings, and refurbishment works.
