Typical responsibil itiesDepending on the specific provision, your role may inv • olve:Implementing tailored educational plans that align with the setting’s curriculum and the specific needs of the lear, • ners.Maintaining a safe, purposeful environment by utilizing de-escalation techniques and positive behavior sup, • port.Monitoring progress through non-traditional metrics and providing feedback that fosters confidence and re-engage, • ment.Adapting activities to meet Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring all learners can access the curric, • ulum.Working closely with SENCOs, social workers, and parents to support a holistic approach to student wel fare. Requir ementsTo be successful in an Alternative Provision setting, you will • need:QTS, QTLS, or a recognized level 3+ qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or Special Educational, • Needs.Proven experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including SEMH, ASD, or, • ADHD.Certification in recognized behavior management strategies (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, or Price) is highly desi, • rable.The ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot delivery methods based on the emotional state of the clas, • sroom.Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain, • one).A patient, non-judgmental approach and a commitment to re-engaging marginalized lea rners.
