A great opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing manufacturing site. This is a genuine development role, designed for someone early in their engineering career who wants hands-on experience, structured training and a clear pathway to becoming a fully competent multi-skilled maintenance engineer. You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers on a fast-paced production environment, learning how to fault-find, maintain and improve automated machinery while building long-term career security in a stable manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities: • Support planned and reactive maintenance activities across production machinery, • Assist with fault finding on electrical systems, including control panels, sensors, motors and drives, boilers etc, • Carry out basic electrical repairs under supervision, • Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals, • Support breakdown response to minimise downtime, • Assist with continuous improvement and reliability projects, • Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or similar), • Strong interest in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment, • Willingness to learn, take feedback and develop technical ability, • Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working shifts, • Any exposure to maintenance or manufacturing environments, • Basic understanding of PLCs or automated equipment, • Mechanical awareness or interest in becoming multi-skilled, • Attitude and commitment are more important than experience., • Structured training plan with experienced engineers, • Clear progression to Maintenance Engineer level, • Competitive pay with shift allowance, • Secure, long-term employment with a growing manufacturer, • Exposure to modern automated production equipment, • Supportive engineering team and strong safety culture
