Full‑time Consultant, to join our breast multidisciplinary team for 10 sessions per week. The closing date is 28 April 2026 The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, histopathologists, radiologists, advanced radiographers, specialised nurses, and mammographers. Responsibilities include new patient assessment clinics, results clinics (symptomatic, screening, post‑op), follow‑up clinics, MDT and theatre work, and provision of high‑quality outpatient services. There is no on‑call commitment with this post. • Providing specialist advice and prevention/diagnosis of breast disease., • Accepting personal responsibility for the total clinical care of referred patients., • Collaborating positively with colleagues to deliver effective clinical leadership., • Contributing to the development of the breast service and reducing waiting times in line with Trust protocols., • Actively participating in local, regional, and national audits and supporting governance and quality improvement activities., • Promoting and recruiting for clinical trials, and acting as Principal Investigator for new studies when appropriate., • Contributing to medical education for students and junior doctors., • Full GMC registration on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of completing CCST., • FRCS(Gen) or equivalent., • Training or experience in oncoplastic breast surgery (logbook evidence)., • MD or equivalent higher postgraduate training., • Oncoplastic breast fellowship., • Experience teaching or training undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff., • Teaching qualification or higher degree., • Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical practice and appraise scientific literature critically., • Knowledge of clinical governance issues., • Published research in peer‑reviewed journals., • Interest and awareness of research methodology., • Higher research degree., • Caring attitude towards patients., • Inquiring, critical approach to work., • Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Team., • Ability to achieve objectives., • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary framework., • Good organisational and time‑management skills., • Ability to motivate and support staff of all disciplines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
