Commercial Plumber Exciting Opportunity in Social Housing and Commercial Projects My client is looking for an experienced Commercial Plumber to join an expanding team in a new role within the Commercial division. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operation, taking on a position created to meet increasing demand for high-quality plumbing services. The Role As a Commercial Plumber, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining a wide range of plumbing and mechanical equipment, from domestic systems to industrial plant rooms. Your work will primarily focus on the social housing sector, including extra care facilities and properties housing vulnerable service users, across a 100-mile radius. You will work closely with a Commercial Gas Installer to complete installation works. This role is varied and adaptable. While your main focus will be plumbing, you will also provide support to the gas installation team. A strong understanding of commercial gas equipment is important, but you will not be required to work on live gas systems. Occasional overnight stays away from home may be required, though this is infrequent. Responsibilities Work collaboratively within your team to ensure the practical completion of all plumbing and mechanical works Coordinate and deliver projects with the project manager and project delivery administrator Complete installation and refurbishment of plant rooms, including pipework and water systems Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure correct materials are used throughout projects Carry out installation tasks efficiently and to the highest standard Support installation of commercial plumbing systems including boilers, water heaters, and pipework Diagnose and repair plumbing issues promptly to minimise downtime for clients Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems efficiently Ensure all plumbing systems comply with current regulations and safety standards Communicate effectively with clients to explain installation requirements and address any questions Complete all relevant paperwork and field engineer app records accurately and on time Participate in training and development to enhance skills and knowledge Provide support in emergency situations to ensure operational safety Qualifications & Requirements Experience in a similar commercial plumbing role NVQ in Plumbing Water Regulations or Unvented Cylinder qualification Gas qualifications desirable but not essential, with potential to upskill during employment Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and controls L8 awareness desirable Valid UK driving licence Electrical skills or qualifications desirable Knowledge of SFG20 desirable Commitment to safety and compliance Excellent communication and customer service skills Salary & Benefits Starting salary of £30,160 per annum, plus bonus for practical completion of projects Pay review following successful six-month probationary period Annual pay review Participation in a 5/2 out-of-hours call rota, with retention payment up to £1,400 and 1.5 times hourly pay for call-outs 28 days holiday entitlement including 8 bank holidays, plus one birthday leave day after one year Company pension after three months of employment Private medical insurance after successful probation Access to a range of employee discounts Company vehicle, mobile phone, fuel card, ladders, stepladders, and initial van stock provided; own hand tools required Why This Role is a Great Opportunity This is an excellent chance to join a dynamic and growing team with a strong reputation.
