Job Title: Joiner/General Maintenance Reports To: Construction & Maintenance Manager Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | On-site (multiple sites around Lincoln/Lincolnshire) Job Overview We are seeking a reliable individual, skilled as a Joiner, and in general maintenance, to join our property management and lettings team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of residential and commercial properties within our portfolio. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a broad range of maintenance skills who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining safe, functional, and attractive properties. Key Responsibilities • Joinery (e.g., minor bespoke fabrication and installation of timber components, including cupboards, units, panels, and trims where required), • Carpentry (e.g., repairing doors, locks, flooring), • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across various properties, • Plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains), • Basic electrical work (e.g., replacing light fixtures, testing sockets), • Painting and decorating, • Tiling, plastering, and general cosmetic repairs, • Garden and outdoor area upkeep (e.g., lawn cutting, minor landscaping), • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from property managers or tenants, • Conduct regular property inspections and report any issues or hazards in accordance with company guidelines, • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations, • Keep accurate records of work, using Trello to report effectively and efficiently about completed works and materials used, • Liaise with contractors and external suppliers when required, • Assist with property preparations before new lettings (e.g., cleaning, touch-ups) Requirements • Proven experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a residential lettings or property management environment, • Strong practical knowledge across multiple trades (joinery, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.), • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently, • Full clean UK driving license (essential), • Own tools (desirable but not essential), • Good communication skills and professional attitude, • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively, • NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant trade (e.g., Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical), • Experience using property maintenance software or reporting tools, • Travel between multiple property locations required, • Some weekend or out-of-hours work may be necessary for emergency repairs Benefits • Company Car, • Company Pension, • Joinery: 3 years (required) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £13.00-£16.50 per hour Expected hours: 42.5 per week Benefits: • Company car JTRA1_UKTJ
