About the Role We are currently recruiting for aMaintenance Managerat ourLeicester plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a skilled team in a dynamic production environment ensuring our equipment and facilities operate at peak performance. As the site based Maintenance Manager you will: • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians fostering a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement., • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across all production equipment including print cutting/ bottling/ finishing and plant equipment., • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability., • Collaborate with production research & development and quality teams to support operational goals., • Manage maintenance budgets spare parts inventory and contractor relationships., • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations promoting a safe and legally compliant working environment., • Minimum5 years of hands-on maintenance experiencein a manufacturing environment., • At least3 years of supervisory or management experiencein aMaintenance or Engineering role., • Strongengineering knowledge/qualifications including mechanical electrical or control systems with solid experience working withPLC-controlled equipment., • Ideally qualified toHNC level or higherin an engineering discipline such as Mechanical Electrical or Controls & Instrumentation., • Ideally holds aformal health and safety qualification such asIOSHorNEBOSH., • Experience managingexternal contractors and service providers., • Proficient in usingIT systems., • Knowledge of steam boiler systemsand associated safety and maintenance requirements., • Understanding of environmental permits health & safety legislation and maintaining asafe working environment., • Experience managing budgetsand controlling maintenance-related costs., • A proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement., • Demonstrated commitment tohealth safety and environmental standardsand regulatory compliance., • A supportive safety-focused workplace where your ideas are valued., • Opportunities for professional development and career progression., • A company culture built on innovation collaboration and excellence., • A competitiveTotal Rewardspackage including:, • Competitive salary, • 25 Days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, • Health and wellbeing benefits STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
