Join us, and become part of a close-knit, supportive community that feels like family! \n\nLocation:\n Home-based, supporting foster parents across the Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Portsmouth. \n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\n • Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.\n, • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.\n, • Provide guidance on the fostering task, required competencies, and FCA policies.\n, • Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents.\n, • Work collaboratively to identify needs within foster families, contributing to meetings and action plans.\n, • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.\n, • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.\n, • Promote participation of children and young people in agency development and local opportunities.\n, • Participate in an out-of-hours support service and day duty system on a rota basis.\n, • Occasionally conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments.\n\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n, • A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.\n, • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.\n, • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.\n, • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.\n, • Confidence in transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situations.\n, • A full UK driving licence.\n\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n, • Company Car or £2,000 Car Allowance\n, • 30 days' annual leave (rising to 35 days with length of service) + Bank Holidays (pro rata)\n, • Life Assurance and Company Pension\n, • On-site Free Parking\n
