Project Manager\n\nOverview\n\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage projects for a global leader in engineered noise control products and solutions. Based in Southampton, this role offers a dynamic and challenging environment with opportunities for professional growth.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAs a Project Manager, you will:\n\nProject Management\n\nLead all aspects of project delivery from initiation to completion and handover.\nEnsure scope, schedule, and budget targets are met.\nIdentify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.\nCommunication & Coordination\n\nServe as the primary point of contact between internal teams and customers.\nCoordinate design, scheduling, logistics, delivery, installation, snagging, and commissioning activities.\nLiaise with trade contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.\nDocumentation & Technical Submittals\n\nPrepare technical submittals, method statements, O&M manuals, and subcontract purchase specifications.\nRaise purchase requisitions and maintain effective communication with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and clients.\nFinancial Management\n\nManage project finances to maximise profitability and maintain positive cash flow.\nPrepare applications for payment, invoices, cost reports, and cost-to-complete forecasts.\nOversee supply chain purchase orders and authorise payments.\nCompliance & Systems Management\n\nAdhere to company processes, procedures, and customer contractual commitments.\nMaintain accurate internal systems and promote best practices in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\n\nQualifications\n\nEssential:\n\nProven project management experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, construction, acoustics, or a similar technical environment.\nStrong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.\nFinancial acumen with experience in cost control and forecasting.\nCustomer-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel.Desirable:\n\nEngineering HNC or equivalent technical qualification.\nRecognised construction safety training and/or qualifications.\nProfessional project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).\nManufacturing experience within a sheet metal environment.\n\nDay-to-Day\n\nLead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.\nMonitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.\nPrepare and review technical and financial documentation.\nCollaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project success.\nAddress challenges proactively and implement solutions effectively.\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per year.\nCar allowance of £470 per month.\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service.\nCompany pension scheme.\nOn-site parking.For more information, please contact Amir Gharaati at Penguin Recruitment
