Role Overview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of projects in collaboration with the Head of Operations, site teams, and the MEICA Design Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\n\nThis role combines technical electrical expertise with strong leadership, commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and operational delivery capability.\n\nThis role is based in Southampton, candidates should be commutable to this location as an office presence is required alongside site visits. \n\nKey Responsibilities \nLead and coordinate project delivery activities to achieve agreed outputs, specifications, programme targets, and quality standards. \nWork closely with operational teams, design managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective project execution. \nProvide technical expertise and guidance on electrical systems, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting. \nReview designs, conduct feasibility assessments, and identify practical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. \nIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies, including compliance, safety, and programme-related risks. \nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practice, including CDM2015 and 18th Edition requirements. \nMonitor project costs in collaboration with the commercial team to ensure effective financial management and budget control. \nConduct inspections, quality assurance checks, and implement corrective actions where required. \nAct as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and maintaining strong working relationships. \nCoordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontract resources to maximise efficiency and project performance. \nPromote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all project activities. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience & Qualifications \nProven experience in project management within electrical, MEICA, utilities, industrial, or infrastructure environments. \nDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. \nPRINCE2, AMP qualification, or equivalent project management accreditation desirable. \nCSCS Black Card or equivalent industry accreditation. \nSMSTS certification. \nCOMPEX certification desirable. \nFull UK driving licence. Technical Knowledge \nStrong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and commissioning processes. \nGood working knowledge of CDM2015 regulations, particularly Principal Contractor responsibilities. \nFamiliar with BS7671 / 18th Edition electrical installation regulations. \nIOSH or NEBOSH health & safety qualification preferred. \nCompetent in Microsoft Office applications and project reporting tools.
